Nigeria World Cup star Dickson Etuhu has joined Swedish fifth division IFK Rossjoholm, whose coach said they do not pay their players, according to a report by SCORENigeria.
IFK Rossjoholm coach Johan Svensson revealed that his players are not on any salary and rather the players offer on their won to play for the club.
Experts believe that Etuhu, who turned 35 in June, may only be trying to regain match fitness at the club before he joins a top league club.
Etuhu, who has featured for several Premier League clubs including Sunderland and Fulham, was released last year by Swedish top-league club AIK Solna, who he joined in 2015.
His wife is from around the Solna area.
The defensive midfielder played in the final of the UEFA Europa League in the 2009/10 season.
