Nigeria star Victor Moses will miss the opening match of champions Chelsea at home against Burnley because of his red card at last season’s FA Cup final.
The match is fixed for Saturday, August 12, at Stamford Bridge.Victor Moses was sent off in the second half of the final against London rivals Arsenal.
However, the Nigeria star will feature for Chelsea in Sunday’s FA Community Shield game against the same Arsenal.
Pre-season training has shown that Victor Moses will likely play at both left and right wing-back positions in the new season.
Last term, he flourished at an unfamiliar right wing-back position and he was subsequently rewarded with a new contract by ‘The Blues’.
