Peter Olayinka has said it was great to help his new Belgian club Zulte-Waregem to a convincing away win on the opening day of the new season even though he did not find the back of the net.
The towering forward, who is on loan from KAA Gent, accounted for three assists as the away team thumped KAS Eupen 5-0 at the weekend.
Olayinka made an excellent debut and was delighted, even though he fired blanks for Waregem at the Kehrwegstadion.
“It felt great to be on the pitch playing my league debut for Zulte Waregem,” Olayinka told ScoreNigeria.com
“My aim was to score, but the three assists I created was important for the success of the team. Even though I didn’t find the back of the net, I was happy with my performance.”
