Kano Pillars striker Nyima Nwagua is calmly assured that his team can make a bold statement in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game with Enyimba in Calabar.
The 24-year-old believes that the end of the contest will tell the story after their meeting with the Peoples Elephant at the UJ Esuene Stadium.
However, Nwagua is confident that their "mentality and pace" can carry them through."
I am not expecting an easy game. It (Enyimba versus Kano Pillars) is always a tough match, but the end will say it all. As you can see our mentality and pace this second phase is different," Nwagua told supersport.com.
The Kano Pillars man has scored four goals this season and now hopes he can add to that tally with seven more matches to the end of the campaign.
Nonetheless he does not want to set an individual target but is only keen on scoring and helping his club finish as high up the NPFL standings as possible.
"Sure, I hope to score more goals and help my team. I cannot put a number on that at the moment. I only hope my team can finish in the top-three," he said.
Nwagua who joined Kano Pillars from Lobi Stars in mid-season has provided two assists in the NPFL this term.
