Kayode Odejaye joins fifth tier club in England

With a statement on their official website, National League club Guiseley A.F.C. have announced that they have captured the signature of Nigeria international Kayode Odejayi ahead of the forthcoming season.

The experienced frontman has been offered a contract by the Lions after impressing in pre-season matches.Kayode began his career with the youth team of Bristol City before penning a professional contract at the club.

The 35-year-old lists Forest Green Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Barnsley, Colchester United, Scunthorpe United, Accrington Stanley and Stockport County among his former teams.

Born in Ibadan, Kayode made his debut for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw with Austria in an international friendly in May 2008, he replaced Nwankwo Kanu in the 84th minute.
