Nigeria centre-back Chigozie Awaziem has joined French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes on a season loan.
The 20-year-old defender joins The Canaries from FC Porto and reunites with a teammate from the Portuguese club, Joris Kayembe-Ditu, who had earlier sealed a switch to the side.
Awaziem has already teamed up with his new team in their training camp in the southeastern town of Annecy.
"After Joris Kayembe, who arrived on June 27th, it was Chidozie Awaziem's turn to join FC Nantes. The young Nigerian (20), who comes from FC Porto in the form of a one-year loan, has already joined his new teammates in Annecy," the French club announced on their website on Wednesday.
The French club announced that Awaziem will wear their number 12 jersey for the new season.
