Ibom Angels head coach, Whyte Ogbonda has expressed satisfaction with his side away draw at neighbours and title holders, Rivers Angels.
The Uyo side held the Jewel of Rivers to 0-0 draw in Wednesday’s Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) matchday 10 clash at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Ogbonda said the heart-warming draw at the Port Harcourt side has once again revived his side hope to ever make it to the elite Super Four contest.
“I’m happy with the goalless result bearing in mind our not too impressive position on the log before the match.“
We are excited and happy to come to Port Harcourt to get a point against champions, Rivers Angels.
“The match was truly difficult for both sides as the players seem to have played strictly to their respective coach’s instructions.“
I’m satisfied with my players performance, at least, everyone back home is certain to be happy with the result unlike the last time we played an uninspiring 1-1 draw on home ground against Sunshine Queens”.
