Cambridge United sign Azeez, Osadebe two other Nigerians

By Daily Sports on July 6, 2017

EFL League Two club Cambridge United have announced the signing of Partick Thistle forward Ade Azeez for an undisclosed fee.

The pacy striker becomes the fourth Nigerian player signed by The U's this summer, with the club earlier completing deals for David Amoo, Jabo Ibehre and Emmanuel Osadebe.

Azeez has penned a contract which will keep him at Cambridge United until at least the end of the 2018-19 season.

Born in Orpington, he began his career at Rivercray before joining Charlton Athletic, where he could not force his way into the first-team picture.

While at the Addicks, he enjoyed loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers, Leyton Orient, Torquay United and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Ade Azeez is in line to make his home debut for his new employer when they take on Norwich City in a pre-season friendly on July 15.

Former Dream Team VI invitee Uche Ikpeazu is also on the books of Cambridge United. (Allnigeriasoccer)
