Kayode stopped by pregnant wife from turning up at Vienna training

By Daily Sports on June 28, 2017

Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode has not yet reported for pre-season training at Austria Vienna.

Kayode was due to start training with the rest of his teammates at the Austrian Bundesliga side on Monday, but has stayed back in Lagos because his wife is pregnant.

''He asked the club for permission to stay with her and be allowed to travel to Vienna at the end of the week due to the fact that he can not leave her alone, '' Austria Vienna said in a statement, according to laola1.at.

Last season, the Nigeria international was the top scorer in the Austrian top flight with 17 goals to his name.

He is reportedly attracting interest from teams based in Russia, Israel, Italy and Portugal in the summer transfer window.
