Niger Tornadoes head coach Abubakar Bala has charged his wards to forget the barren draw against Enugu Rangers and to focus on the top-flight clash at newcomers, Katsina United.
The Ikon Allah Boys are guests of the Katsina landlords in Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 26 clash in Katsina.
Bala said poor performance at the Katsina outfit will put the team out of the dreamed top 10 bracket in the on-going top-flight.
“I have told my players to remain focused as the Rangers match has come and gone. We need to concentrate and get something out of our match against Katsina United.
“We are not in Katsina for a revenge mission. It ended 1-1 in Lokoja but we are here to play good football. I know that is exactly what we are going to do.
“Any undesirable result against Katsina United will put us out of the top 10 bracket and we must fight hard to avoid such occurrence,” said the former FC Lokoja coach to supersport.com.
“It is going to be interesting and tough match. My wards know this and we are not going to take the match lightly, we know what is involved. We are doing all it takes for us to return to winning ways,” he added.
Bala said his side are not under pressure to get a continental ticket but if the opportunity offers itself they will grab it with both hands.
