Lobi Stars must pile pressure on top teams, says Agbaji

By Daily Sports on June 18, 2017

Anthony Agbaji says Lobi Stars will continue to pile pressure on top teams after securing a win over Rivers United on Friday.

The victory over the Pride of Rivers moved the Ortom Boys to third spot, although with other teams yet to play their Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 25 encounters.

"Rivers United came determined they were resilient but our continuous push gave us the edge," Agbaji told Goal.

"Though it was a 1-0 victory for us but the most important thing is the three points which we got. Now we shall relax through the weekend and observe full time scores from across different venues to see the position we shall be after week 25 fixtures

"We knew that to keep the pressure at the top three teams we must continue to pick up points both at home and on the road.

"We have moved to the third place now but that's subject to the results from other matches, but if you ask me I'll prefer we stay in that position this week.

"We want to pick up more points on the road to help our ranking on the league table but as for the mission this week, it has been completed," he concluded.
