Former Nigeria U23 captain Azubuike Okechukwu has expressed his delight over his selection in the Turkish League One (second-tier league) Team of the Season.
The midfielder helped Yeni Malatyaspor to secure promotion to the Super League and the Nigeria star is eager to debut in the top flight league.
“Feeling very honoured to be named in the Turkish lig 1 team of the year, Thanks to GOD, my team mates and the fans. Can’t wait 4 super lig,” he tweeted.
AFCON 2013 hero Sunday Mba and former U23 striker Austin Amutu played for Yeni Malatyaspor last season.
