Leon Balogun is latest Eagles injury concern after he’s forced out of Bundesliga clash

By Daily Sports on May 21, 2017

Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun is the latest injury concern for the Super Eagles after he was forced out of a German Bundesliga game after only 18 minutes against Cologne today.
Nigeria face Corsica and Togo in friendlies later this month in France, before they host South Africa in an AFCON 2019 qualifier in Uyo next month.

First-choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has already been left out of the Eagles squad due to injury, while skipper Mikel Obi still remains doubtful for the South Africa game.

Balogun has had his own battles with injury and the extent of his latest injury will only be ascertained in the coming days.

The tall central defender has in recent times formed a great partnership with William Troost-Ekong in the heart of the Eagles back four.
