Bauchi appoints Jada, Patrick to rescue Wikki Tourists

The Governor of Bauchi State Abdullahi Abubakar has approved the appointment of a seven-man rescue team to help Wikki Tourists out of their precarious position in the Nigerian Professional Football League.

Wikki Tourists are 19th in the NPFL log with 21 points from 19 games and have lost three of their last five games.

The members of the board include Auwalu Baba Jada who will serve as the General Manager of the club while the Super Eagles team co-ordinator and ex-international Pascal Patrick will play the role of an adviser.

Other members are Sadiq Yusuf Zaria, Paul Gambar, Umar Ahmed Ilelah and Abdullahi Ibrahim.

According to a press release tweeted via the official handle of the club and signed by the Bello Shehu Ilelah, the Secretary to the State government, the board is to report to the governor through a senior government official.

The statement reads: "His Excellency, Mohammed Abdullahi Esq, Governor of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of a rescue team for Wikki Tourist Football club with the following members.

"Auwalu Baba Jada, Pascal Patrick, Sadiq Yusuf Zaria, Paul Gambar, Umar Ahmed Ilelah and Abdullahi Ibrahim.

"The rescue team will be reporting to His Excellency, the Governor through the Special Adviser Labour Relations Alhaji Maijama'a Mato."
