Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has won Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year award.
Ndidi, who only joined the Foxes in January from Belgian club Genk, beat Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray to the award.
The 20-year-old midfielder has scored two English Premier League in 15 appearances.
Ndidi told Leicester City TV shortly after the award on Monday night that he feels very happy and delighted to be a recipient on the night.
“Its so great to be rated alongside Demarai Gray and Chiwell,” said Ndidi, whose goal against Stoke City was also nominated for the goal of the season award.
“I believe if they had enough chances to play probably they would have won the award.”
Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel won the Players’ Player of the Season award, Danny Drinkwater scooped the Goal of the Season award for his strike against Liverpool.
