The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) on Monday said the elections of athletes’ representative, technical bodies and philanthropists’ representatives onto its board would hold on Friday in Abuja.
The Secretary-General of NTF, Taiwo Oriss, who disclosed this in a statement in Abuja, said the elections would hold at the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium.
Oriss said all the state sports associations in the 36 states and the FCT were required to nominate two delegates to take part in the voting procedure.
He said nominations should be for one athlete representative and a coach or referee.
The Secretary-General said the athlete, coach or referee should be one who has represented the state in at least one national or major event.
Oriss said such representative must have been on the payroll of the state for at least one year.
“All states are required to forward their nominees to the Federation’s secretariat before Wednesday,’’ he said.
