Players across the Premier League on Friday took to social media to pay their respects to Nigerian-born former England international Ugo Ehiogu, who passed away earlier in the day, aged 44.
Harry Kane and Tottenham Hotspur’s players have led football’s tribute to the former England and Rangers player.
Ehiogu, who appeared for England, Rangers and Middlesbrough amongst others, collapsed at Spurs’ training ground on Thursday and passed away in hospital on Friday morning.
Striker Kane took to Twitter to lead the tributes to the club’s under-23 coach, saying: “Very sad day today! Ugo was a fantastic man and coach! Gone way to soon! Thoughts are with his friends and family now! #RIPUgo.”
Other top flight stars, past and present, also took to social media to pay their respects over the course of the day.
