Aminu Umar led the way for Osmanlispor in a Turkey’s Super Lig encounter on Sunday, with the Nigerian bagging a brace in a 4-1 victory over Kayserispor.
The 22-year-old had gone close to 30 games without netting twice in the same game – a run stretching back to Osmanlispor’s Europa League meeting with Zimbru on 21st July 2016.
With that sequence broken, the Ottomans will be hoping that there are plenty more inspirational performances to come from their forward as they target a place in Europe next season.
Cameroonian Pierre Webo was on target from the penalty spot as Hamza Hamzaoglu’s side got past Sergen Yalcin’s men who boast of Raheem Lawal.
Lawal was handed a starter’s shirt but was replaced in the 77th minute by Landry N'Guemo. (Goal.com)
