Sunshine Stars head coach Kayode Olujohungbe expects his side to present a strong attacking force at top-flight club FC IfeanyiUbah (FCIU), as is their nature.
The Owena Waves are guests of the Anambra Warriors in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 17 clash at the FC IfeanyiUbah International Stadium in Nnewi.
Olujohungbe said the side are calm and relaxed going into the tough clash at FCIU, despite the two-match ultimatum.
“The truth is that despite the present form of FC IfeanyiUbah, we are not going to Nnewi to play a poor side, rather a strong side with quality players.
“However, we always go out with the mind set to win and not to try so we are going out there to play our normal attacking football same as we are playing on our home ground.
“We are going out there in Nnewi at FCIU to look for a convincing victory which is quite possible.
“The drawback is that the management is trying to put me under pressure by issuing out a two-match ultimatum.
“We have won one match against Katsina United, right now going to play one of the best teams in the land on their home ground.
“Well, I’m used to pressure, it does not come to me as a shock or surprise, maybe it’s my time but I’m not bothered because I strongly believe we can overcome the test.
“We had good and never-say-die mentality to the Katsina United match, that’s same mentality we will be taking with us to Nnewi to confront FCIU,” said the former Sunshine Queens coach to supersport.com. The Akure landlords are 17th on the 20-team top-flight on 18 points, 12 behind leaders Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC with a game to spare against champions Enugu Rangers.
