Cameroon overcame Senegal 5-4 on penalties to book their place in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals on Saturday night.
The quarter-final encounter had ended in a goalless draw at the Stade de Franceville in the Gabonese city of Franceville.
The first chance of the game went to Senegal midfielder Henri Saviet 12 minutes into the game, but he decided to find Sadio Mane and the cross was poor.
Cameroon also threatened in the 35th minute, but Benjamin Moukandjo's attempt was well saved by Senegal goalkeeper Abdoulaye Diallo.
The two teams were unable to break the deadlock before Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe could blow his half-time whistle, and it was 0-0 at the interval.
Diallo was called into action 20 minutes into the second-half and the Senegalese shot-stopper superbly denied Cameroon captain Moukandjo.
At the other end, Cameroon keeper Fabrice Ondoa made late saves and ultimately, the two teams went into extra-time after failing to break the deadlock.
FC Barcelona academy product Ondoa continued his brilliance in Cameroon goal in extra-time and in the end, the match went into a penalty shootout.
Ondoa proved to be the hero for the Indomitable Lions as he saved Liverpool FC forward Mane's spot-kick and Cameroon won 5-4 on penalties.
