Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso insists he is unsurprised by the form shown by Victor Moses so far this season.
The Nigeria star had endured a poor spell in the English topflight having being loaned to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United in the last three seasons.
But the 26-year-old who was retained in the Blues’ squad this term by Antonio Conte has been awe-inspiring with the Stamford Bridge giants on course to win the English Premier League diadem.
Against Hull City, Moses created two chances plus an assist to help secure a 2-0 victory. And the Spaniard has praised him for his displays despite playing in a strange position.
“There was no need for us to talk to each other before about what we were going to do,” Alonso told Chelsea’s official email newsletter.
“A lot of games he goes more forward and I maybe stay more at the back, but that also depends on how the other team plays and it's good to have variation and different options.
“Victor is doing a great job and hopefully we can keep helping the team as we have been doing in the previous games.”
Moses has contributed three league goals in 22 appearances for the Roman Army who lead the EPL log with 55 points. (goal.com)
