Go Round FC gets new camp

By Daily Sports on January 21, 2017

When preparations for this season’s Nigeria National League (NNL) season begins in Omoku, Rivers State later this month, Go Round FC players and coaches will have new habitation.

This is because, as the General Manager of the club, Soni Uboh put it, “We have jettisoned the old camp located in the village to give them a more befitting accommodation around the stadium complex.”

Uboh says work has reached an advanced phase at the new camp that will house players, coaches and some back room staff.

“We always strive for excellence at Go Round FC and that is the message we are trying to pass with this new camp that is under construction.

“The former camp was not bad for an NNL side but the truth is that things change, people get better and there should be improvement which is why we are building this one that we hope will be commissioned in time for the players as they arrive to kick start the new season preparations,” Uboh said.

The team is expected to open camp ahead of the new football season under the coaching guidance of Ngozi Elechi and Caleb Esu. Uboh explains once again that they want to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“That has been our battle cry ever since we got into the NNL. We will keep trying every year and won’t be bothered by failure. So, once again, our target this year is to qualify for the NPFL and hopefully we will achieve it this time around.”
