Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were among the Manchester United players who paid a visit to the patients at three local hospitals.
The Red Devils players brought presents to the children at hospitals across Manchester, with Pogba, Ibrahimovic and most of the senior squad visiting Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Pogba revealed that he was glad to be able to make some children's wishes come true as United spread Christmas cheer at RMCH.
"Today we are just trying to make the kids smile and make them happy because they are having a hard time," Pogba told the club's official website.
"We are lucky to be in good health so for us to be able to give the kids a little smile is special."
Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick visited Francis House Children’s Hospice in Didsbury, while Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, David De Gea and Eric Bailly went to the Christie’s Palatine Treatment Centre to visit the children and their families.
Fifteen-year-old Cameron spoke of his delight at meeting some of his heroes: "I’ve met Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini and it’s been amazing.
"It’s just unbelievable them coming to see me – I was star-struck. It was really unexpected and it’s good of them to take time out to come and see people." (goal.com)
