EXCLUSIVE: Okumagba-led Supporters Club drags Ikpea, others to court

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) led by Prince Vincent Okumagba has served a court order on Samuel Ikpea Lagos-based NFSC them from parading as executives of Nigeria Football Supporters Club “as the only authentic election for the body was held at the National Stadium Abuja on Saturday, December 10, 2016 as approved by the Federal Government to ensure free, fair, credible and transparent poll.”

The order came from the chambers of Human Rights Lawyer, Festus Kayemo. Though the information was sketchy as at the time of filing this report, Daily Sports was authoritatively informed by highly placed sources that the order has already been delivered and acknowledged.

The Okumagba-led executive is praying that Ikpea and his co-travellers must not parade themselves as officials or otherwise of the Supporter Club body in any capacity.

Efforts by Daily Sports to reach NFSC National Chairman, Prince Vincent Okumagba, or any of his officers proved abortive. However, a source at Festus Kayemo’s Chambers confirmed the development.

“Yes, such a letter came from this Chamber and it has since been served the defendants,” the source said, adding: “The Okumagba-led executive armed themselves with authentic document (letter) from the Sports Minister, who is Federal Government’s representative, that instructed that the election would be held in Abuja it was addressed to the Chairman, Board of Trustees of NFSC, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo and prior to the election date, nobody disagreed or faulted the venue of the election by writing.”
