Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Uwuanyi will reward Nigeria league champions Enugu Rangers will plots of land and cash gifts after they broke a 32-year trophy-less run in October.

Rangers won the league after their last triumph in 1984 and they will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League.

Enugu State sports commissioner Charles Ndukwe confirmed the reward for the players and officials.

“The Governor in his generosity has decided to reward Rangers, with a plot of land and cash each,” disclosed the top sports official.

However, he could not confirm when the reception will be done since the new league season is expected to begin on December 18.
