Organisers of the Victor Ezeji Testimonial have announced a new date for the event.

Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee, China Acheru, says the event which was earlier slated for December 10, will now take place on December17.

Acheru informed that the change was occasioned by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), scheduling re-run elections in Rivers State for December 10.

“We have been forced to alter our plans following INEC’s announcement. They have fixed re-run elections in the state on our initial chosen date which is December 10.

We have decided to reschedule the Victor Ezeji Testimonial a week later. That means the event will now hold on the December 17,” he explained.

Acheru however, informed that the change in date will do nothing to distort the spirit and mood for the event as the Organizing Committee’s plans will continue as scheduled to ensure a spectacular showing in the new date.

“This does not change much. We will continue with our plans only having in mind that the event will now be a week later than earlier planned. We are still very much committed to delivering a colourful event that will indeed be worthy of celebrating the Nigerian league legend called Victor Ezeji,” he said.
