Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials have assured they have got approval for the Super Eagles to be paid $10,000-a-man for the two wins against Zambia and Algeria, but the cash will be transferred to their accounts.
Each player received 350,000 Naira as training camp allowance for the Algeria match after the stipend was increased from 20,000 Naira a day to 50,000 Naira.
They also got cash for a return ticket Lagos-Abuja.
“We have got the approval for their bonuses, which will be paid into the accounts,” a top official informed.
However, it was not ascertained if the money will be paid in US dollars as the team have demanded or in local currency and at what conversion rate. (mtnfootball.com)
