Nigeria captain John Mikel Obi has advised his teammates to be careful when they meet Algeria in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 12 in Uyo.
The 29-year-old Chelsea star believes with focus and discipline the Super Eagles would silence the Greens at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday.
“The team spirit is good and we have to continue doing exactly what we are doing. We have to do things rightly," Mikel told media on Tuesday.
“We look solid like a team, we are good defensively we look good, going forward, we look good, we create chances and we score goals.
"We have to keep doing what we are doing, keep focus in camp and discipline and make sure we work hard. They are a very good side so we have to do well in this game and make sure we have three points
“We have to be focused in this game and make sure we get the result. I think we are a very good side, we have a very young team, maybe just one or two couple of experienced players.
"The team is very young and very energetic. I think the counter is not going to be a problem to us. We can attack; we have got the legs to do that. We have to play to our own strength, they have to play to their own strength.
"It's going to be a very tactical game, so we have to be very careful,” he concluded.
Mikel Obi will be hoping to lead his Gernot Rohr's men out to victory as they crave to boost their dreams of reaching the Russia 2018 finals. (goal.com)
