No group has claimed responsibility for the attack on Saturday but police in South Sudan said it has began a hunt for the suspect of the shooting.

According to police spokesman in Juba, Justin Daniel, residents of the suburb of Gure have been told to cooperate with the security men to help with information in apprehending the suspect and also curbing the activities of strange persons.

The police in the country stated that it would work with other security forces in uncovering the root behind the act and also apprehending the offender.

The media in South Sudan reported that the gunman opened fire on at least 40 people watching a Premier League game around 8pm local time in an act that lasted more than 10 minutes.
