Boboye unveiled as Plateau United coach, says ‘I’ll dedicate my life’

Kennedy Boboye has been unveiled as the new Plateau United coach, replacing Zachary Baraje who walked away after a disappointing eighth-place finish in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The tactician arrived at the club’s training ground on Wednesday to begin life as the handler of the Jos based outfit having being handed a two-year contract.

At his official unveiling, former Sunshine Stars gaffer thanked the club management for the chance to take the helm of the team, adding that he intends to "dedicate my life to fight" for the club.

"I'm thankful to be given this opportunity. I want to management of Plateau United for the opportunity to manage such a great club,” Boboye told Goal.

"I promise to dedicate my life to fight for this club and defend the great principles of Plateau United on and off the field.

“I have coached Sunshine Stars who are a solid team in the west, I have handled Abia Warriors who are a big threat in the east. Now I am at the biggest in northern Nigeria.

“I have to work, I have to prepare a team, I have to adapt to this club. It will not be easy but I will do my utmost best, when you see my career you can see I have what it takes to excel.” (goal.com)
