Delta Stars FC vows to stop NLO Super Eight

By Anthony Obaseki on October 18, 2016

Delta Stars FC of Ughelli, Delta State has vowed to stop the NLO Super Eight coming up this weekend due to outstanding cases before the Organising and Disciplinary Committee.

“You see, we have a protest against Papilo FC of Owerri who refused to honour their home game but went to play their away game in Port Harcourt and won.

“We have been waiting for the Organising and Disciplinary Committee to sit and come up with a   decision till now they have not, yet they are playing Super Eight. We are going to Lagos to stop it. We are coming with paper from the court to stop it, this is not fair,” an official of the team cried out.

Meanwhile, the NLO has fixed October 23 to 30 for the Super Eight that will take place at Agege stadium, Lagos.

Delta Stars say the way and manner the NLO is handling the case is to deny them their promotion which they say is not fair at all.

Continuing, the official said: “They said they have gained promotion and are set for Super Eight. Our case at the Organising and Disciplinary Committee has not been looked into.

“The truth is that we cannot continue like this the game is dying how can such happen, yet the NFF is not saying anything. How will our teams grow and we produce true and real champions at the end of the day?”
