Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool training today, alongside teammates Roberto Firmino and Alisson Becker.
The UEFA Champions League winners have been in the midst of their pre-season slate of friendlies for a few weeks now, but the trio had been given extended breaks following their international commitments in the offseason.
Salah featured for Egypt at the recently-concluded 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring two goals for the Pharaohs before they were shocked in the last 16 by South Africa.
Firmino and Alisson, meanwhile, helped Brazil win the Copa America on home soil.
The trio will link up with their Liverpool team-mates in Evian, France today, with the club set to play Lyon in their final friendly on July 31.
Following that match, Liverpool will get their busy early season slate underway with the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 4, followed by their Premier League opener against Norwich five days later and the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea on August 14.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp will still be without Senegal star Sadio Mane. Since the Teranga Lions reached the final of the AFCON, he has been given an extra week off and will only return to training next Monday, August 5. (African Football)
