Ikorodu United may buy Remo Stars premier league spot

By Daily Sports on October 14, 2016

There are very strong indications that relegated Ikorodu United may buy the place of promoted Remo Stars in the Nigeria premier league.

Remo Stars won promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after they topped NNL Division B1.

However, there are now suggestions that club owner xxx is locked in negotiations with Ikorodu United to sell his place in the top league especially as he has huge financial commitments that include shares in a Portuguese club.

A Remo Stars official informed: ”Even though we have won promotion, we might not play in the NPFL considering the fact that our chairman has so many financial commitments.

“And to play in the premier league requires a lot of cash.

“That could be one of the reasons negotiations with Ikorodu United are now going on.”
