Ikpeba denies Taribo West death claim

By Daily Sports on October 1, 2016

Former Africa Player of the Year, Victor Ikpeba, has negated news announcing Taribo West’s death.

Reports that filtered the air on Friday evening has it that the former Super Eagles' defence stalwart died in South Africa, but his former teammate, Ikpeba and close associates rebuffed the claims via Twitter.

“My brother Taribo West is alive. Please ignore rumours that he is dead.”

The denial was made after a local outlet published an untruthful story reporting the demise of the ex-Super Eagles’ defender, prompting his former teammate and social media to quickly deny the story. (goal.com)
