Brown Ideye was in sensational form as Olympiacos brushed aside a lacklustre Veria FC 6-1 at the Karaiskakis Stadium on Sunday.
Ideye’s first came in the 25th minute – tucking into an empty net after goalkeeper Jonathan Lopez had saved Seba’s close range attempt.
Seba doubled the lead two minutes later with Tarik Elyounoussi grabbing the third after missing a penalty 12 minutes earlier.
The fourth came in the 49th minute as Luka Milivojevic profited from a horrendous defending from the visitors to fire past a hapless Lopez.
Paulo Bento’s side rounded off an easy win and it was Ideye who had the final say with a late double to complete his treble – his first in his professional career.
Veria’s consolation came in the 74th minute courtesy Pantelis Kapetanos’ strike. (NAN)
