Mario Balotelli scored on his debut for Nice against Marseille, netting his first league goal in 355 days.
Balotelli, 26, was making his first appearance for Nice on Sunday and got his career at the Ligue 1 club off to the perfect start, finding the back of the net from the penalty spot just seven minutes into the home game with OM.
It proved to be the Italian striker’s first league goal in just under a year, with his last coming during his loan spell with AC Milan last season in the 3-2 Serie A victory over Udinese on Sept. 22, 2015.
Balotelli arrived at Nice on a free transfer at the end of last month following a miserable two-year stay at Liverpool.
He joined the Reds in the summer of 2014, but scored just one goal in the Premier League before being shipped out on loan to AC Milan last term, where he again managed just the one league goal. (NAN)
