Rangers win NPFL top-of-the table clash; Enyimba defeat Lobi Stars in Makurdi

 Week 34 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) witnessed two of the teams at the top of the table clashing in Enugu, with hosts Rangers International conquering Rivers United 4-0 at their Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium fortress in the Coal City.
The goals came from Tope Olusesi, Godwin Aguda, Chris Madu and Obinna Nwobodo. The victory saw Rangers displacing Wikki Tourists from the first place on the NPFL table.
In Makurdi, Lobi Stars lost at home 1-0 to Enyimba of Aba. Nanan Imenger got the only goal of the match for the People’s Elephant at the 3rd minute of the match.
Struggling Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) lost1-3 against Akwa United at the Nest of Champions, Uyo. Haruna Babangida got a brace for Akwa United, and Ubong Friday got one goal, before Ifeanyi Ifeanyi scored a last-minute penalty for the Olukoya Boys in a match that saw two goals cancelled, both scored by Oladele Oshobe and Sikiru Olatunbosun of MFM FC.
The current NPFL table sees Enugu Rangers in the first position with 54 points after 32 matches. Rivers United sit in second place with 53 points after 32 matches, Wikki Tourists stay third with 31 points after 51 matches and Lobi Stars are in fourth place with 49 points after 33 matches.
At the rear, Heartland stay in the 17th position with 37 points after 32 matches, Abia Warriors are in the 18th place with 31 points after 32 matches, and Ikorodu United are 19th with 26 points after 31 matches.
