By Daily Sports Nigeria on August 22, 2026

Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return to action with a goal as Al Nassr cruised to a 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh on Friday.

The Portugal captain came off the bench and put the finishing touch on a dominant performance from Al Nassr, scoring in the 83rd minute following a brilliant assist from Yahya.

The goal was his 977th career goal, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X on Friday

Ronaldo had been absent from the starting lineup in Al Nassr’s previous match and watched from the stands as his side defeated Al Fateh on Saturday.

Al Nassr took the lead in the 18th minute when Al Amri found the net, giving the away side an early advantage.

Angelo doubled Al Nassr’s lead, scoring in the 46th minute before Joao Felix made it 3-0 in the 58th minute.

Ronaldo then completed the rout in the 83rd minute, capping his return with a goal and helping Al Nassr secure another convincing victory.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s return provides another boost for Al Nassr as the club continues its push for success in Saudi football.
