The Chairman of the Swimming Section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Akinbulejo Onabolu, has assured participants of an exciting competition at the first leg of the second edition of the Quomodo Inter-School Swimming League, scheduled for May 9 at the club’s facility in Lagos.
Onabolu said preparations were complete and expressed confidence that the event would deliver a rewarding experience for all involved.
“We have been working tirelessly to deliver a well-organised and engaging competition. As we approach May 9, I am confident that all participants will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience,” he said.
He also commended the event’s title sponsors for their continued backing.
“I commend our sponsors, Quomodo, for their trust and support. Together, we are building a platform to nurture the next generation of swimming champions in Nigeria,” he added.
The competition will feature freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and individual medley events, with distances adjusted across age categories to ensure competitive racing at every level.
It is structured across three categories — primary, junior secondary and senior secondary — giving young swimmers a broad platform to compete. A second leg is scheduled for June 6 at the same venue.
