The Super Eagles have risen to a commendable 26th place in the latest FIFA Ranking released today.
They have moved 12 places up from 38th they were last month.
This new ranking is on the back of a splendid run at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where they placed third.
They are also now the third best team in Africa, behind AFCON finalists Senegal (12th in the world) and Morocco (8th in the world).
Algeria and Egypt, who the Super Eagles stopped at the AFCON, are the fourth and fifth top teams in Africa, respectively.
