AFCON: Results of yesterday’s matches, all fixtures for Saturday

The results of Boxing Day (Friday) 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, matches are out.

DAILY POST reports that Egypt defeated South Africa 1-0 in Group B, thanks to Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah’s only goal of the encounter.

Also in Group B, Angola and Zimbabwe played a 1-1 draw to remain in third and fourth positions in the standings.

Similarly, in Group A, host nation Morocco drew 1-1 with Mali, thanks to goals from Brahim Diaz and Lassine Sinayoko.

Zambia played a 0-0 draw with Comoros in Group A to remain in third and fourth positions on the log.

Meanwhile, more AFCON fixtures will be played today, Saturday, as the Benin Republic will face Botswana in an early kick-off in the afternoon.

Later in the evening, Senegal will tackle DR Congo, while Uganda will clash with Tanzania.

On Saturday night, Nigeria will take on Tunisia in a Group C fixture at the Fez Stadium in Fes.
