Malaga shoots down NPFL-All Stars

By Daily Sports on August 13, 2016

Sandro Ramirez scored a brace as Malaga beat the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) All-Star 4-1 in the Ramon de Carranza trophy semifinals on Friday night.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic opened the scoring for the Spaniards in the 22nd minute following a well-taken corner by Juanmi.

The NPFL All-Star battled gamely and were back on level terms nine minutes later through an own goal by Llorente.

The joy of the NPFL All-Star was shortlived as Malaga put their noses back in front in the 38th minute through Ramirez who finished expertly after he was slipped through on goal.

Malaga went 3-1 up straight from the restart and it was that man, Ramirez who put the ball into Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s goal from a tight angle with a blistering effort which flew into the top corner.

Ezenwa was substituted shortly after but the man who replaced him, Emeka Nwabulu was soon picking the ball out of his net after Youssef En-Nesyri smacked home with frightening force to complete a comprehensive victory for the Spaniards.

The reverse represents the second for the NPFL All-Star in as many days after they lost to Valencia on Wednesday.

Next up for the NPFL All-Star is a date with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
