Liverpool Open Contract Talks With Salah

By Daily sports on July 17, 2021

Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Mohamed Salah about a new contract.

As reported by the Anfield Watch, who recently spoke to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have started talking to the Egyptian winger’s representatives about a new deal.

“This [contract talks between Liverpool and Salah] is not at the final stages yet,” Romano told the publication, Anfield Watch. “They have been talking but nothing is advanced yet.”

Salah is currently in Austria with his teammates in preparation for the 2021/22 season after having been denied the chance to represent his country at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

The 29-year-old’s future has been a hot topic with persistent reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid, while Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are said to have also expressed interest in the talented winger.

Salah, who is contracted to Liverpool until 2023, has scored 125 goals in 203 appearances for the Reds. (African Football)
