The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up to 67th place in the latest FIFA rankings released this morning. The Eagles, who were in 70th place in July 2016, have moved up by three places.
Nigeria however remain 16th place in Africa, behind Algeria who top in Africa and are 32nd in the world, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Congo DR, Cape Verde, Mali, Congo, South Africa, Uganda and Guinea.
On the global stage, the top twenty teams of the July 2016 rankings remain unchanged, and this can be linked to the quiet month of international football. The month recorded just two friendly matches played. Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Chile, Portugal, France, Spain, Brazil and Italy remain the top ten in the rankings.
Kazakhstan however leapfrogged by one place to 96th, recording their best ever position in FIFA rankings.
The next FIFA rankings will be released on September 15th 2016.
