El-Rufai Will Be Used to Bring Down APC Just as Wike Was Used to Destabilise PDP- Chieftain Says

By Daily Sports Nigeria on January 30, 2025

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Galafi, has held that the All Progressive Congress ( APC) will be destabilized by former Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, just as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, was allegedly used in destabilizing the PDP.

This is coming under heels of a conference held by eminent members of opposition political parties across Nigeria which also had El-Rufai in attendance.

El-Rufai had alongside the members of the opposition parties, including 2023 PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, jointly accused the APC of using opposition party leaders to destabilize their party.

This brought El-Rufai under heavy criticism by the APC as the ruling party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, expressed disappointment in the former Kaduna governor.

Reacting in a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Galafi who was a member of the PDP 2023 Presidential Campaign Management Council, accused the APC of using Wike to destabilize the opposition party.

“You used Wike to destabilize the PDP, now it’s your turn to face the music as El-Rufai will be used to bring down the APC.

“What goes around comes around!” Galafi wrote.

Recall that Wike had overtime come under fire since his Ministerial appointment under the APC-led administration.

The former Rivers governor also stirred bad blood within his party through his political tussle with his predecessor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his frequent backlash at PDP chieftains over the party’s crisis.
