Milan in talks with Lukaku

By Daily Sports Nigeria on July 3, 2024

Milan are in talks with Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku, but according to Gazzetta, two more Blues players have been mentioned during negotiations between clubs: Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah.

Milan have identified Lukaku as a possible summer reinforcement in attack, given that Manchester United are currently leading the race for Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.

Gianluca Di Marzio and Gazzetta report that Milan are in talks with Lukaku and Chelsea, hoping to reach an economic agreement with both parties.

Milan don’t want to match Chelsea’s €40m asking price for the Belgian striker, and according to Gazzetta, they are working on a loan deal. The alternative plan is to sign Lukaku permanently but for a lower transfer fee.

One important detail regarding the striker’s salary is that Lukaku can still benefit from the Growth Decree, having spent the last two seasons in Italy with Inter and Roma.

At the same time, according to Gazzetta, Milan are also considering signing two more Blues footballers.

The pink paper confirms interest in promising midfielder Chukwuemeka, while Chelsea have reportedly offered Chalobah to the Rossoneri.

The English defender has been linked with a move to San Siro for a long time and is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans at Stamford Bridge.
