Chelsea have been won over by Victor Osimhen’s resurgence in form and now want to sign the Napoli striker again.
That is according to Sky Sport Italia, who report that Osimhen is now once again Chelsea’s main target for the number nine position.
It had been reported a month ago that Chelsea had dropped their interest in Osimhen after a disappointing run in 2024 in which he had failed to score in 10 of his 14 games. He also had just one assist in that time.
His general level of performance had also been hugely disappointing.
However, Osimhen has returned to his best in recent weeks, scoring four goals in his last five games.
He has been especially outstanding in the last two games, scoring against both Roma and Udinese.
On Monday, Osimhen powered home an unstoppable header against Udinese, while he also had an excellent finish disallowed for offside.
This has convinced Chelsea to make Osimhen their number one target again.
One of Chelsea’s biggest problems over the last two years has been their lack of firepower.
As such, the Blues have made the signing of a top striker a priority in the summer.
