It was a night of decision wins at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos as boxing enthusiasts witnessed an electrifying showcase of skills and determination at the Judgment Day event on February 24.
In the One2 Sports Promotions main event, Muritador Monyasahu faced off against Ambrose Godwin for the vacant National Cruiserweight title.
After 10 grueling rounds of back-and-forth action, Monyasahu emerged victorious, securing the title with a resounding unanimous decision (93-97, 98-92, 90-100) to the delight of the spectators.
In the first fight of the evening, featherweights Ojo Arabambi and Mojeed Gbolahan engaged in a fierce battle, with Arabambi ultimately clinching a hard-fought victory by split decision (77-73, 75-77, 77-75) after eight rounds of action-packed combat.
Next up, the crowd was treated to an exhilarating super-lightweight clash between Hammed Ganiyu and Hakeem Olayiwola. Ganiyu’s dominance was on full display as he dropped Olayiwola in the fourth round on his way to claiming a commanding unanimous decision victory (70-80, 72-79, 73-78) after eight rounds.
In another thrilling showdown, Kazeem “The Killer” Lawal squared off against Ganiyu Kolawole in a super-welterweight clash. Lawal showcased his prowess in the ring, securing a decisive victory by unanimous decision (55-59, 54-60, 58-56) after six hard-fought rounds.
The action-packed night continued with a middleweight clash between Christian Abua and Jubril Olalekan. Abua displayed his skill and determination, outclassing Olalekan to claim victory by unanimous decision (60-54, 58-56, 64-70) after six thrilling rounds of combat.
Welterweights Oluwasegun Mustapha and Isiaka Raheem also squared off in a highly anticipated matchup and Mustapha delivered a stellar performance, defeating Raheem by a unanimous decision after six rounds of intense exchanges.
