Joseph Yobo has been confirmed as an ambassador of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The former Nigeria and Everton defender was unveiled on Monday by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Yobo now joins a list of sportspersons from around the world who support and promote the Nigeria topflight.
“Honored to be unveiled LMC NPFL ambassador by FIFA President Gianni Infantino. We must develop our Local League,” Yobo tweeted.
“The local league is the foundation of any Nation's football. We need to rebuild our league football to enviable heights. Together We Can!
“Big shout out to Shehu Dikko & Nduka Irabor for their belief and efforts to pull this through. The success of our LMCNPFL is unstoppable.”
