Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege Thumbs Up Super Eagles Supporters Club

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has endorsed the activities of the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) as the core support base for the Super Eagles and other national teams.

A letter released to Daily Sports and signed by the Deputy Senate President’s Senior Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Azania Omo-Agege, informed that the SESC no doubt has conducted its activities since formation strictly on the tenets that govern the game and therefore records best standard in football supporter-ship which has opened a new chapter which brings exciting and great tidings to the image of the SESC, Super Eagles team and the country at large leaves sweet taste in the mouth of many that cherish good things.

“It on the few mentioned above that there is every need to fully identify with such innovations and tidings SESC squad has brought on the table of football supporter-ship in the country which brought with it civility on and off the pitch which has attracted high caliber of professionals in the corporate world and these category of upwardly mobile individuals are admitted as members of SESC brought to bear great measure of sanity so far, so good, the Deputy Senate President said through his Senior Special Adviser on Youths and Sports, Azania Omo-Agege said:

“Let me restate that the Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ovie Omo-Agege, is unequivocally using this platform to say well done to SESC President, executives and members of SESC for within this short space of time flown the flag of this national Football Supporters Club thus far ensuring that standards are not lowered. I once again thumb up this vision by the founding fathers of this most civilised and enlightened gathering of like minds. In short, it is one of the best that has happened to our national teams having solid supporters club that back them up during games.”

He further pointed out that the good works this group of Nigerians have piloted to this stage would not go unnoticed as their zeal and patriotic ways would be rewarded if not by man but by God. “It is patriotism personified that you came together  peacefully and in most civilised matter organised yourselves for this task for the love of our father and for the most beautiful game in the world that has united us the most records of your activities are gladden the way and manner you conduct yourselves to support our team be it local or International you pay your way through would continue to remain memorable with us, however l assure you of our unflinching support and endorsement of your programs,” the Deputy Senate President posited.

Super Eagles Supporters Club Presided, Prince Vincent Okumagba, in a telephone brief conversation with Daily Sports expressed gratitude on behalf of his executives and his members to the Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege for his depth knowledge on the game, sparing his tight schedules  to identify with them and stressed that such open demonstration and support  has given him much energy the light of SESC shining the more, reassuring the Deputy Senate President on behalf of SESC to do more. 

According to Okumagba, Super Eagles Supporters Club is in over 21 states in the federation and would continue to diligently coupled with discipline serve as the 12th player for Nigerian teams.
